There are several amazing resort hotels in Wailea. You almost can't go wrong staying at one of them. And choosing between them is really a matter of personal preference. If you're looking for a classy, high-end, yet understated vacation, you might prefer the Four Seasons.  If you want big, try the Grand Wailea. And if you want a resort that seems the perfect blend, try the Fairmont Kea Lani.

There are several other, less expensive hotels in Wailea, and plenty of rental properties available, but if you're looking to be pampered and experience all that Wailea has to offer, try one of the three main resort hotels.

You can only spend so much time sitting by the pool, right? Don't worry, Wailea has plenty of shops to keep you busy! The big resort hotels have their own boutique shops, and if you're looking for high end shopping, drive (or walk) up the street to the Shops at Wailea. There you'll find all your favorites: Louis Vuitton, Coach, Fendi, Gucci, and more. You can stay busy all day here!

If you're looking for more tourist-type knick-knacks, drive a few minutes into Kihei. There's an outdoor mall with lots of great little shops. Ask your hotel concierge for directions. Or, head up the coast to the famous port town of Lahaina. You can spend a whole day browsing shops and grabbing a bite to eat on Front Street.

As you would expect from a top-notch vacation destination on Maui, Wailea has its share of great restaurants. If you're staying in one of the big-3 resorts, you don't even have to venture out of the hotel to have a great meal.
